Welcome to Milton the Canoe Capital of Florida. Milton has a population at 10,783 residents as of the 2020 census. Milton is located just North of Pensacola in the Florida Pan Handle. Milton is connected to 3 waterways with the names of Blackwater, Coldwater and Sweetwater and they flow through the town drawing tubers, rafters, and paddlers. Milton has great camping spots as well. Located on the Blackwater River Milton is designated as a Florida Mainstreet Community and is listed in Florida’s National Registry of Historic Places to visit. Milton is rich with history and culture and please visit the Museum of Local History, the 1912 Imogene Theater, and the L & N Train Depot when you can. Milton also boasts the Blackwater River as designated Outstanding Florida Water with a waterway that is protected because of its rare and natural attributes. The NAS Whiting Field Navy Base is in Milton Fl and is the training Facility for the Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine Corps. Milton is the Heart of Santa Rosa County when it comes to all the county’s official office’s and Court House. It is also where all the County Commissioners hold the County meetings along with the Zoning Board. Welcome to Milton.
